The Shelter - Home Of Manchester Storm on In The Crease

The Shelter - the section of In The Crease dedicated to Manchester Storm, the team I watch week in, week out in the British Ice Hockey Superleague. Within this section you will find Storm related images and features along with a note of the current squad. This section is not intended to be an up to the minute type news site as there are others on the net that do that side of things so much better than I ever could. Having said that I will provide details of big stories and section updates when applicable. The table below gives a bit more background info on the sections that make up The Shelter - please take a good look round and let me know if you have any comments!

Storm Squad	- pretty straightforward this one, a list of the current Storm squad with details of previous clubs!
Storm Cards	- major feature of this section showing Storm players past and present on home made hockey cards
Storm Images	- any Storm related images will be found here including wallpapers and other general images
Storm Links	- a list of links to Storm related websites including the official site and many others
Storm Features	- anything that doesn’t fit elsewhere relating to the Storm such as one off articles and interviews

Two New Wallpapers Added

Two new wallpapers from the 2001/02 season have been added to the wallpaper section of the Storm images feature on the site. Added this time are Paul Ferone and Justin Hocking.

Last week it was the forwards turn, this week it’s the defence with wallpapers of Dwight Parrish and Kayle Short added to the 2002/02 Season collection of the Storm wallpaper section.

Interesting Info

FOMIH - the organisation behind the drive to bring professional ice hockey to Manchester next season have announced that they are close to acheiving the targets they set in terms of members and the signs are positive that we will have a team again next year - check out the FOMIH webiste for more info.

In unrelated news - I received an e-mail from a reader of the site to let me know that ex-Storm netminder Frank Pietrangelo is coaching a youth hockey team in his hometown of Niagara Falls and they recently won a bronze medal - it’s good to hear Frankie P is still directly involved in the game in some way and I’m sure the youth of Niagara Falls is better for it!
